The care of dogs and cats part 1 - bathing.

Thinking about our 4-leg friends, I'd like to give you some advices regarding care of dogs and cats.

Being the owner of special Saloon of Beuaty for dogs and cats FIDO in Poznań, I invite you for the series articles about care of our 4-leg friends.
Below I present the article about bathing of animals.

Bathing
The frequency of bathing is depended from the garment of animal, more often we will be bathing races with long hair for example: yorkshire terier, than with short hair.
You should remember to use the special cosmetics for animals because the dog's skin has different physiology than human, and does not tolerate the cosmetics for people. It is mistake using the shampoo or olive for children.

On the polish market you can find many shampoos for dogs, natived and imported. Some of those are very expensive, especially reputable, but these are economical concentrate and they are very efficient. The expense from 30 to 40zł is very cost-effective.

Good shampoo for dog should contain caring components. For the choice we have shampoos with different oils, for example: almond, coconut, from tea-trees, with proteins, vitamins, D-panthenol, herbs, glycerine, fruit-extracts ........
Different shampoos are designed for the cats, more delicate are produced for the puppies. Some firms elaborated special shampoos for dogs with rough-hair. Besides delicate shampoo, it is worth to pay the attention on shampoos working curative for example: antidandruff, fungicide and bactericidal, they are often used by the allergy to fleas.

The tonic, lanolin, and oil ( everything for dogs) can help to maintain the hair in good condition, between bathings. On the polish market we have little products made in Poland. Mostly of these, are imported cosmetics. It is worth to have them. The tonic makes that the hair becomes sleeker and slippier. Usually he is used as water solution, although in places where the garment is the thickest, he may be used immediately.
Tonic with lanolin ( natural fat) is very good for hair and skin, which during the bathing losts her natural protection. It causes beautiful gloss which is coveted by short-hair races.
Long-hair yorks and malteses after the bathing, are swilled in the solution of tonic with special oil, this mixture eliminate the wave of hair and dry skin.
You can cancel to fat the hair by lanolin and oil, during the bathing before the exhibiotn, then you ought to limit to use suitable tonic.

Having in the equipment good and assorted suitable to the hair cosmetics, we can bath our dog often, I strongly advise you to bath him once in the week ( like often are bathed: yorks, malteses, Ihasa apso, shih-tzu and other small long-hair races).
Before the bathing you should prepare cosmetics and bathtowels for dog.
The bottom of the bathtub should be covered with special mat to avoid sliding of your dog.
Bathing should have 2 parts; during the first the sand, fat, dirt and dust are washed away, during the second connected with the massage, hair is refined cared.
The technic of the massage should be suitable for the type of hair.
During the rinsining of the shampoo, remember not to flood the dog's nose ( he may be scared before the next bathing).
Next you ought to put on the tonic sollution and rinse off it.
After the drying of hair by towel, you can dry by dryer, making the hair with wirebrush at the same time.
